Application Modules - Ringback Tones
Ringback tones allow subscribers to configure their service so that when people call them they will hear music instead of ringing. Options allow different callers to hear different music and the music selections range from classic to today's "top-ten." Ringback tone service can require a multi-vendor solution to provide media content, web interface for user configuration, application and media support.
CX Media Servers play an integral part of the ringback tone solution and can combine the application and playback functions in a single platform. In the AIN enabled TDM network play aps determine what music selection to play based on calling and called party information and use of TBCT reduces the amount of media server resources required to service the application. In the IP network VXML scripts direct the media server through the application or the application can reside on the CX Media Server.
